Item 1 of 14
This complete transformation reimagined a crumbling garage as a warm, design-forward guest house. Key interventions included a new retaining wall system to stabilize the hillside behind, a rebuilt roof structure, and the insertion of large openings to bring in natural light.
The interior was fully reconfigured to create an open-plan living and sleeping space, along with a compact kitchen and bathroom, using natural materials like lime plaster, reclaimed stone, local tiles, and wood. Finishes and fixtures were chosen to balance modern functionality with rustic character, including a newly built fireplace in a traditional style and other vintage-inspired details.
