Executed entirely in-house, the project encompassed the complete renovation of seven luxury apartments, as well as the full reconstruction of four Ocean Casitas set directly on the cliff’s edge. Every decision and detail was carefully considered to address both the demands of the harsh Atlantic climate and the preservation of the villa’s architectural character. 

Original Viuva Lamego tiles were meticulously restored, and the timber roof structure was preserved. Interior layouts were reconfigured to create open, light-filled spaces, while new plumbing, electrical systems, windows, heating, and flooring were installed to withstand the Atlantic conditions. Contemporary finishes, like micro-cement floors, complement original details and modern Portuguese craftsmanship.

The cliff-top garden was revived and expanded to include a spa with a Finnish sauna and plunge pool, a yoga studio, a tennis court, and private ocean viewpoints. Large terraces were added to the Ocean Casitas, integrating the houses within their dramatic setting. 

The effect is a new model of coastal hospitality rooted in privacy, nature, and design-led comfort. Here, historic and modern Portuguese design converge in a distinctive and elevated guest experience.
