Completed in 2017 through a LandingPad partner development, the project transformed a former quinta into a functioning hospitality estate through a combination of restoration and new construction. The original manor house was reduced to its exterior walls, with new roofs and floor structures introduced to clarify circulation and room layouts. It now accommodates five guest rooms alongside reception, dining and living areas, service spaces, and pool facilities. A historic cistern in the basement was retained and adapted for irrigation use.

Three new buildings were added and positioned to follow the site’s terraced topography. The Horta Pavilion is embedded within the upper garden and includes three guest rooms, each with a private patio overlooking the vegetable terraces. At street level, the Jogo da Bola building contains reception areas, restaurant spaces, studios, retail, and twenty-two guest rooms. Architectural elements draw from regional precedents, including flat roofs, parapets, timber grilles, and traditional terracotta flooring.

Outdoor spaces form a continuous network across the estate, connecting buildings through gardens, pathways, and shared courtyards. Materials and detailing were selected for longevity and contextual fit, resulting in a cohesive hotel complex with a clear operational structure and a strong relationship to its historic setting.
