Ceiling heights reach four metres, allowing natural light to move easily through the apartment’s dual-aspect layout. Original wooden floors and crown mouldings are retained and restored, providing continuity with the building’s historic fabric. French balcony doors open from the main living space onto Rua dos Anjos, maintaining a visual connection to the street while allowing light and air into the interior.
The new layout centres around a generous open kitchen and living area designed for both everyday living and hosting. Bedrooms are arranged along the quieter side of the apartment, with clear circulation between spaces and improved functionality across the plan.
The interior design concept bridges traditional architecture with contemporary elements. Lightened wooden flooring, marble surfaces, and colourful in-built cabinets & wardrobes by our carpenters introduce a modern palette while remaining grounded in the apartment’s historic framework. A built-in dining banquette anchors the kitchen space, creating an informal gathering point within the home.
Bathrooms combine marble countertops, slate flooring, and handcrafted tilework, paired with custom niches and integrated fittings.
